Internet Casino Sucker Bets — Part Two

  • Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly contain one of these. You typically place a wager (a dollar is the usual amt.) to try to win a bonus jackpot that can be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Although huge jackpots like these are particularly tempting, they’re also particularly complicated to succeed. You would have to get a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this bet. Also, picture this- you play 20 hands and place the side bet each time. That’s twenty dollars you should have used towards the actual game wager instead of a sucker wager. Imagine what you might have been able to win at a bet with better odds using that twenty dollars.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only 1. This takes the complete casino advantage from 2.63percent with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The individual number bet has only a one in 38 chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets as a substitute which have a much smaller casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you play it, the casino advantage can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that is not a error. Due to the huge set of numbers you have to pick, it is not advisable to play Keno very much. A couple of times for fun, perhaps. But do not spend all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself beaten.
